Big World, Little Kitty

The adventures of a small person in a rather large world.

Ho chi men city sunset, it’s too smoggy for an actual sunset.

Last night Bryn and I found a live turtle at a restaurant so we bought him and caught a taxi up to the river and walked a kilometer up to set him free, his name is Tortie McTortison.

Bryn called it “The Tipsy Turtle adventures”

KH ❤’s BW 4 EVER

6 MONTHS TODAY!!!! 🙊💕

Today we went to the markets in Phan Tiet, it was hectic and smelt like dead fish times 1 million. I only got about 20 meters in when I saw beautiful ducks (still alive) crushed on top of one another, wings broken, cawing in pain. Bryn took me out and the rest went ahead. Even Sam (Bryns tough, rough, sporty cousin) said he found it overwhelming. Humans have so little respect or empathy - keeping them alive like that is so cruel.
On a lighter note I have discovered a new fruit! It’s called ‘Moon fruit’ it tastes like cake mix!

Hey everyone! I am alive! And totally jealous that I missed Jane and Gary’s wedding! It looked awesome! Here is a photo of Phan Tiet resort. It’s definitely the best one so far! My tummy has finally settled down after 6 days of toilet hell. (The Vietnamese sewage company sent me a letter begging me to stop.) xox

This is CHAM island - only 3000 people live there and it’s 80% monkeys! The fishing net pictured above is made only on Cham island! The people were happy to see us but I swear if one more person says “cheap for you! Happy hour!” I will stuff a mango where the sun don’t shine.

Me, Abbie and a puppy called ‘Hee’ (most of the dogs names here are ‘Dog’)

Last night we arrived in the clothes making capital of Hoi An! This is my favorite place so far.. There is no garbage lining the streets and everyone seems a little more chilled and friendly. This is a little boy minding the lanterns, you buy the lanterns and float them down the “Perfume River” to ‘wish for good health’ or something! Tomorrow I am getting shoes made, they equal out to be about $60.00 each but they are custom made to fit you perfectly and the quality is astounding. Very exciting.
And just before you all double over with jealousy I will inform you that I spent the day before yesterday in bed with terrible
diarrhea and tummy cramps. Not to mention pretty intense heat rash under my arms! Thanks to all the meds I stashed I am feeling pretty good this morning but living on pear and Hydrolights.

-___- love you all xox

Tam Biet! (Goodbye!) Hue!

Today we leave our lovely 5 star resort, we made secret friends with one of the staff called Tien, he is like a Vietnamese Brendan and he took us all around Hue City. When he walks he dances and he bought me a huge red lantern.
Next stop Hoi An!
